Chef Tianna Feaster- BiographyTianna always loved to cook. When her parents were away at work, she would often grab ingredients to create delightful and tasty dishes. During one summer vacation when Tianna was in the 5th grade and at the disapproval of her parents, she went through her parents’ freezer, grabbed a couple filet minions, then marinated, and broiled them to perfection for her and her friends to eat. Tianna’s curiosity and the joy of making food for her and her friends as a child would soon lay the path to a fruitful career as professional chef.
Tianna’s mission to educate and empower others began at Towson University where she earned her degree in education. After college, Tianna moved back home and taught two years as an elementary school teacher. Tianna still had a desire to explore her creative side and completed her Master’s of Arts in Education with a concentration in instructional design. This new career path further ignited her desire to use her creativity with food. After work hours, she continued to explore and blend various ingredients to make delectable savory dishes for her family and friends to try and taste during holiday parties and social gatherings. She realized that she still had a strong burning desire to become a professional chef.
In 2004, Tianna answered her desire to become a professional chef and enrolled in Stratford University’s culinary program. During this time, she served as an intern at Waterford Banquet Hall and Receptions where she continued to enhance and hone her cooking skills. Two years later, in June 2006, Chef Tianna Feaster earned her Advanced Culinary Arts Professional certificate from Stratford University. In addition to earning her diploma, Chef Feaster is an active member of the America Professional Chef Association.
Tianna believes that food should not only enliven taste buds and fill your stomach, but it should also provide nutritional value and be beneficial to your health and life style.
